When you setup Watch My Back on PalKeeper, you provide information about the person or people you will be meeting with, including all necessary information you have about the location and time of the meeting.

You include at least two watch pals that PalKeeper should inform about the planned meeting, whom you will also give ongoing situation updates about the meeting through the PalKeeper service.

You can schedule when PalKeeper should alert your watch pal(s) about a meeting up to 24 hours before the meeting time. And should you decide to cancel a scheduled watch my back event, you can do so if the scheduled urgency has not yet elapsed and your watch pal(s) will not be notified.

You also select the interval you want PalKeeper to remind your watch pal(s) to request situational updates from you about your scheduled meeting.

Should you not be able to provide updates to your watch pal(s) after a preset duration, PalKeeper will share the last known location of your device with them so they can decide the best possible action to take and seek help for you in a timely manner.

Please note:

PalKeeper offers Watch My Back services as a freemium feature depending on user’s location. While direct monetary payment is not required for this service, PalKeeper gamifies the U2-Earner whereby users can earn reward points with which users can redeem towards an active Watch My Back session duration. That is to say, the length for which a certain user can engage in active Watch My Back session might be determined by the amount of earning the user has accumulated based on that user’s country of residence.

In the event your life is in danger you can immediately raise an emergency alert to your emergency contact(s) using the PalKeeper SOS feature.

You are required to assign your emergency contacts in your PalKeeper profile whom the service can send emergency alerts whenever you trigger SOS so they can quickly get help to you.

Also, PalKeeper is currently piloting its on-demand dispatch services (currently in beta) in selected locations. While direct monetary payment is not required for this service, PalKeeper gamifies the U2-Earner whereby a user can earn reward points with which that user can redeem towards an on-demand dispatch service. Eligible users must earn enough reward points to cover the requested service amount with accompanying fees. PalKeeper SOS dispatch services allows eligible users in eligible locations request roadside dispatch for services such as flat tyre, battery jump, fuel out emergencies, OBD, towing, and winch out. Also, the PalKeeper Fuel(X) services carters for on demand fuel delivery for powerplants and portable generator; While the PalKeeper chore service dispatch enable users to request on-demand chore services.

For gig workers – like Lyft, Doordash, Bolt or Uber drivers, or whether you are a waybill dispatch rider for Jumia, use PalKeeper to flag addresses where you have negative or life-threatening experiences. Next time an order with that address comes into your phone or should you ever come within your preset alert proximity, PalKeeper will remind you of your recorded experience at that address so you decide whether to continue to that address or not.
