Hello,

My name is Uko Uko. I am the founder and CEO of PalKeeper LLC., also widely known as PalKeeper. Precisely on May 2, 2021, I came across the story of rape and murder of Iniubong Umoren trending on the internet. She was a young job seeker lured with a job offer and killed. As at that time, I was almost about launching my international tech-startup, gonogoALERT. But as a father of two little girls at the time, this rang too close to home that it stopped me in my tracks. "I am about launching a product that is focused on helping the US society, how could my innovations benefit people in less privileged societies as well?" I thought to myself, "What part of our service could be helpful and how can it also meet the security needs of the Nigerian society while still serving its intended purpose?"

I decided to put the planned launch of gonogoALERT on hold. Then, upon further brainstorming with friends, I discovered the opportunity ahead for something beneficial that could answer the insecurity questions in Nigeria is enormous. The question of culture and user engagement came to mind, and it was certain that building such a platform that could fit the Nigerian technology culture will require a willingness to challenge conventional wisdom and way of doing things. Because, generally speaking, the seemingly insurmountable corruption and rise in depravity can be attributed to desperation of the masses in our society. For poverty have robbed us of the dignity in honesty and contentment in what we have; pride of labor, courage and lasting reward of integrity to think right, do and stand for what is just and true.

Enter, PalKeeper. To date, we have innovated safety modules to help people carry at least one person along with them virtually while they are out and about, or when going for a meeting with people they do not know too well, or when they do not trust the possible outcome of a planned meeting. We also, provide gig commerce workers with a feature for recording unfavorable experiences at gig locations so they will be reminded next time they receive new gig assignments with blacklisted location information. Also, to transform the conventional social media business system, we have decentralized our revenue sharing model so all our participating users can share in the benefits of their online presence when interacting with our platform. By eliminating unethical user data exploitation and bringing users into full participation in our revenue sharing model PalKeeper U2-Earner allows eligible users to earn redeemable points toward our in-app services for content engagements whether as original content creators or as reacting users.

We hope to grow to where we will begin offering our on-demand convenience and roadside P2P gig commerce services in the communities we serve starting one city at a time.
